“During this project I tried in various ways to place myself on the island in order to get closer to it.
I started collecting photos from the Icelandic Meteorological Office’s webcam, located on Surtsey, over the duration of an entire year. The photos are all taken at 09:57, just before the daily weather report is read across the National Broadcasting Service (RÚV), detailing the weather across the country but not including Surtsey.”
